Keep Austin Weird, y'all!
If you’re brave enough to explore Texas in the summer, just remember that 100-degree days get old, fast! A few of my close friends from home in Chicago came down to the south for a girls weekend in Austin, Texas, and despite the heat, we had a blast!
Keep Austin Weird and check out a few recs below!
Paddle Boarding on Lake Travis or Lady Bird Lake
This is an Austin bucket list must. There are plenty of rental spots along the water where you can grab paddle boards or kayaks for the day and float along the lake!
The Oasis on Lake Travis
After a long lake day, the Oasis is a great spot to watch the sunset, eat some TexMex and take in all of the views! It’s a little ways away from the city, but worth the trip.
Wine Tastings in Fredericksburg
If you’re in Austin for a few days, it’s worth it to take a day trip to Texas wine country in Fredericksburg! This quaint area is filled with the cutest spots and will make you feel like you’re in the heart of Napa Valley.
Shopping at The Domain
Too hot outside? Never too hot for shopping! The Domain is one of Austin’s best shopping areas and has it all.
Always,
Alina Ann
