Spring Closet Cleaning Tips

Time for a cleaning party!

It’s just about that time of the year. Out with the old and in with the new! Or… out with the old and in with reinventing some “old” to be like “new”? Now that’s something I can get on board with.

As you begin your spring cleaning and refresh your wardrobe, here are a few tips to keep in mind!

Empty Out Everything

As time consuming as it is, the most effective way to clean your closet is by taking out every single item within it. When you discover those items you’ve forgotten about or haven’t worn in ages, you’ll know exactly what to purge and what you're not ready to let go quite yet. You'll also discover new ways to reinvent old clothes!

Move Seasonal Items Out

Winter coats and pom pom hats taking up all of your space? Store those items away for next year! This will reduce clutter in your closet and will keep you wearing appropriate pieces during the season.

Replace and Refresh

You know that special piece that you wear over and over and over again to the point where it’s falling apart? It’s time to get a new one! When you’re cleaning your closet, identify your staple pieces and organize them in a way that’s easy for you to grab and go. If there's a piece that has reached its breaking point, treat yourself to something new!

Have Fun With It

If you’re like me, cleaning is self care! Throw on some sing-a-long music, light a candle, pop open a glass of wine and have some fun. This also will allow you to re-organize everything in an efficient way!

Always,

Alina Ann
