The Thanksgiving Apple Pie You Need

Just like my momma made!

We all have a lot to be thankful for this year! Family, friends, cats (s/o to Frenchie and Tottie), Crumbl Cookies, Taylor Swift’s 10-minute version of All Too Well… The list goes on and on!

One of my favorite things about the holidays are all of my family’s traditions AND the food.

If you’re looking for a fool-proof dessert for Thanksgiving, look no further than family’s favorite apple pie recipe ever! We make this every year and I hope you do too!

Pie Crust

5-6 Apples, Peeled and Sliced

3/4 to 1 Cup Sugar (More is always Better)

3 TBS All Purpose Flour

1 Teaspoon Cinnamon

Dash of Salt

Top with 4+ TBS of Butter

Step 1:

Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.

Step 2:

Using a pre-made pie crust, or a de-thawed store bought pie crust, press one side of the crust into a 9 inch pie plate (don’t forget to grease the pan).

Step 3:

In a large bowl, mix together the sugar, flour, cinnamon and salt. Fold in the apples and make sure they are evenly covered with all of the sugary goodness.

Step 4:

Pour the apples mixture into the pie crust.

Step 5:

Cover the apple mixture with the second pie crust and seal the edges tight with a fork. If apple crumble is more your vibe, feel free to replace the top with this!

Step 6:

Place 4-6 TBS of butter evenly distributed on the top of the pie. I like to top with extra cinnamon too. This makes it extra crispy and delicious!

Step 7:

Bake at 425 until crust turns light brown, typically 30-40 minutes.

Step 8:

Cut a slice, top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and ENJOY!
