The Disney World of Discount Shopping.
If your idea of a fun time is going to TJ Maxx or Home Goods and finding the best deals ever, you’re in the right spot.
Here are some tips and tricks for getting the ultimate bargains at these discount stores!
Go to the Clearance Events in January and August
Because TJ Maxx and Home Goods are already super discounted, they don’t necessarily have super big sales. However, right after Christmas and the Fourth of July (so right now!), they do offer larger clearance events with the biggest markdowns all year. Run, don’t walk!
Ask for Discounts on Damaged Merchandise
You’ll notice that TJ Maxx and Home Goods mark down prices A LOT. If you happen to find something with a minor scratch, rip or discoloration that you still are interested in buying, go ahead and ask an employee for a discount. If the item hasn’t already been marked down, they’ll more than likely give you 10% off!
Shop Clearance Online
It was a very exciting day when TJ Maxx got a website. And there’s always a clearance section that changes daily! I try to check it out at least once a week, especially when I’m looking for something specific. You never know what might pop up!
If You See a Yellow Tag, Snag It
When an item has a yellow tag, it’s discounted as low as it’ll go. So if you find something you like and aren’t sure about buying it, go ahead and splurge because you’re getting the best deal ever!
Skip the Stores on The Weekend
New merchandise ships during the work week and by the time Saturday and Sunday roll around, pretty much everything is already picked over. If you ever have a free moment on a Monday morning, head over to TJ Maxx or Home Goods. You’ll thank me later.
Sooo writing this blog made me want to go to TJ Maxx and Home Goods immediately. Happy shopping, y'all!
Always,
Alina Ann
