Things to Do in Dallas This Fall

It's pumpkin spiced-everything time!

Fall is the most wonderful time of the year in Texas. Pass the pumpkin-flavored everything, please! The leaves might not be falling, but Autumn is officially in the air.

Here are a few things you MUST do in Dallas this fall.

It’s true, everything is bigger and better in Texas!

From September 24 to October 17, the State Fair of Texas takes over Dallas with all things fun, food and entertainment. My first time at the fair was exactly what I was expecting and more, and yours will be too! Check out the farm animals, eat all of the fried foods and ride all of the rides. I'll tell you right now, the line for a Fletcher’s corn dog WILL be worth it!

I'm someone who has always loved stereotypical fall activities. Apple picking, pumpkin patching, all of the above. If you're like me, the Pumpkin Village at the Arboretum is for you!

From September 18 to October 31, the Arboretum displays more than 90,000 pumpkins, gourds and squash in a really cool way. Pumpkin houses, mazes and more - it’s like a scene out of a movie that you need to see to believe.

When the weather is this nice, why not watch a movie outside? But make it ~luxurious!~

Cozy up in beanbags, lounge sets, or even love seats outside with your own set of headphones (so no need to worry about not being able to hear what you came for). Bring your own food, or grab a drink and some snacks from the food truck at this Heritage Village hotspot!

Hit Up A College Football Game

What’s more Texas than football? I'll wait.

DFW is home to a few large universities with some really great teams (Go Frogs!). It’s definitely worth the day trip for the experience of dressing up way too much, tailgating and watching a good old-fashioned football game.

Embrace Patio Weather

The Dallas food & drink scene is unbeatable.

Fall in Dallas was made for hanging out on the patio with friends and family! Some of my favorites are the Katy Trail Ice House, The Rustic, Barcelona Wine Bar and Standard Service. This list can go on and on and on!

Soooo who agrees that Texas fall does it best?

Always,

Alina Ann
